About

After studying textile design at Central School of Art in London I followed a career designing for many high street companies including Monsoon and M&S.

My work has taken me to lots of exciting countries around the world, where apart from the wonderful people I have met, I have also been hugely inspired by the gorgeous decoration, pattern and colour from these vibrant cultures. With a particular love for India, my collection of Indian textile books, old wood blocks and vintage saris is very large!

A few years ago, feeling the need to re-connect with paint and brushes after too many years spent designing on my Apple Mac, I started to paint furniture again, but soon began to miss working with pattern. I cut my first stencil by hand and sold the cupboard it was used on the next day. When somebody asked if it was possible to buy the stencils my business was born.

In this blog, I write ‘how to’ posts about the projects I am working on, about my stencils and the trials and tribulations of running a small creative business.
