We spent this afternoon mooching around The Old Cinema in Chiswick, West London this afternoon. It is a converted cinema which houses a fantastic selection of antique, vintage and upcycled furniture.
I was checking out the painted furniture whilst my partner was coveting everything in the Industrial furniture section.

They also had some amazing original film posters too, including, ‘Cat On A Hot Tin Roof’, ‘The Jungle Book’, ‘Apocalypse Now’ and even ‘Deep Throat’!!
Here is a small selection of their painted furniture. http://www.theoldcinema.co.uk/Reclaimed-Teakwood-Two-Double-Door-Sideboard

This is a great posting! I am so glad to see the Painted Elm Chest from Gansu Province in China. I recently picked up two oriental chests paired with two tall awesome-looking oriental shelves (Korean pieces) from a craigslist buyer and already had in mind doing them in Barcelona Orange, now I’m thinking about adding Arles to them. Yaaay! I’m inspired. UF
Thankyou. Those pieces you bought sound lovely!
