This little stool is has been in my shop behind my desk and as I have already painted everything else which is in the shop, it was time to paint the stool. It is a really solid heavy wooden stool, but covered in a horrid shiny brown varnish.
I painted it in Old Ochre chalk paint by Annie Sloan and then gave it a top coat of Greek Blue. Using Old White, I added the pattern using my Lodi Stencil, but I positioned it off center and left out the central motif. After waxing using the clear wax, I sanded it at the edges to reveal a little of the colour underneath and some of the wood.
Here it is reinvented, reloved and about to be reused. Such a lovely colour.
