Introduction

Firstly, let me introduce myself. My name is Nicolette and I studied textile design at Central School of Art in London. My working life so far has been spent creating designs for high street companies. I have traveled the world with my jobs, absorbing the amazing decoration and colour from different cultures.

Recently, I have felt the need to re-connect with paint and brushes, after too many years spent designing on my Apple Mac. By using Annie Sloan paints and adding my own stencil designs, I have been indulging my love of pattern. By sanding and layering and waxing I have been using my hands again, touching the product. I have had that old feeling of feeding my soul and losing myself in my work.

In this blog, I am going to be posting about the products I am working on and also about the things which inspire me.
